@Christopher: ok give me some time to read all the stuff and I will provide the information. I used to be able to suspend my PC with Precise, after some updates it stopped working, do not remember precisly at what after what update. If it useful i can try to test various Precise "old" kernel versions to see exactly when it used to work.
