Scott Hosking, glad to hear the wifi works on the Quantal Live CD. As a WORKAROUND for the Quantal Live CD install problem, can you upgrade from Precise to Quantal following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Upgrades#Upgrading_to_development_releases and report the results of the WiFi?
