Running incscape normally for me without the "UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 inkscape" I see an icon with a no enter red sign for all icons. "UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 inkscape" Well it still works for me! so the may be something like a version change or something else, I am on: (some menu's have no icons!)
