On an amd64 system I enabled precise-propsed and upgraded libgnomecanvas2-0 to 2.30.3-1ubuntu1.1. I then installed glotski:i386 which pulled in all the required i386 libraries, including libgnomecanvas2-0:i386, and was able to play the game.
