I experience this fix too. Basically, starter integration and window
switcher don't work at all with LibreOffice. For example, when I open a
.ods document (Calc is not locked to starter), default icon for
LibreOffice appears in starter. I can now minimize and maximize using
starter. If I open another document from type .odt, maximizing via
starter doesn't work anymore for the .ods document.
This is only one of several issues that appear when opening multiple
documents but it's hard to describe these issues.
