Greg, where you are getting that error from in the bug report? The second lot of logs in that bug report (1067899) are not even PowerPC!
Something I did notice though was SMP NR_CPUS=4 which is surely a problem since we all have 1 CPU?!? Btw Walter, the non-SMP kernel was removed in 12.04.
