Raymond, when you mentioned in post #6 to specify the card indexes, did you mean just write: snd-intel8x0 index=0 snd-hda-intel index=1 in alsa-base.conf ?
Currently, these exist in my alsa-base.conf: options snd-intel8x0m index=-2 options snd-hda-intel model=auto I don't understand the significance of the `m` in snd-intel... anyway. Should I modify those lines to be: options snd-intel8x0m index=-2 options snd-intel8x0 index=0 options snd-hda-intel index=1 model=auto ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1067619 Title: onboard sound not available - only hdmi through soundcard available To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1067619/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
