Hello Paul,
Ubuntu wine package is based on upstream winehq package, not on Debian,
and the both packages are totally different. Moreover, the latest
(almost, version .40 should be uploaded tonight) version is in Ubuntu,
which is not the case in Debian ;)
Thanks a lot for your bug report, packages can't be synced now because
they are to different but I hope they will be one day.
