Situation:
When I trying to watch video it's often end up in a system restart. I have 3
video players in my system: mplayer2/mplayer, Totem and VLC. I never confirmed
this with Totem because it's video playback very slow and I just can not resist
it. However mplayer and VLC with xv output is fast on my system and that's
where problems appears. This bug isn't 100% reproducible and doesn't happen on
all videos but if it crashes on some specific video then it keeps crashing on
it again and again. So, it is reproducible. Also it happens both in mplayer and
VLC, so it isn't player-specific.
In Ubuntu 12.04 I was able to set 'sdl' output and it fixed my problem (at
least it didn't restart without jumping between fullscreen and window modes, it
still crashed sometimes but very rarely) but in Ubuntu 12.10 it became very
slow and doesn't help against this issue (system crashes).

However in Ubuntu 12.10 GnomeShell works good enough for me and
surprisingly this bug doesn't reproduce there. That's actually why I
decided to report it on Compiz. I doubt it's problem with Unity but very
likely it's problem with Compiz since GnomeShell does not use it and
video playback does not cause system restart there.

My system configuration:
* Ubuntu 12.10
* ATI Radeon HD 3200
* Open-source graphics driver (closed-source one does not supports my videocard
anymore).

Please tell me how could I help to diagnose this crash. I really like
Unity and want to keep using it but with this problem I simply can't. :(
