However, with the SIM and ISP I'm using now (the modem is always the
same), I'm observing only this one perfectly distinguishible pattern,
while with another SIM I observed this and other buggy behaviors
confusingly mixed as I described in the other report.

I mean, there seem to be a ton of bugs related to having a broadband
mobile connection to work; the behavior i describe here looks more like
an isolated bug, maybe easier to investigate and fix, while in the other
report I probably described the mixed symptoms of various bugs
interfering with each other.
