Update: I purged all nvidia drivers and nvidia-settings using commands shown on this post: http://askubuntu.com/questions/206283/how-can-i-uninstall-a-nvidia-driver-completely
sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-* sudo apt-get install ubuntu-destkop sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf echo 'nouveau' | sudo tee -a /etc/modules It removed the 3 drivers from 12.10, an old driver update, nvidia- settings and a settings update. I restarted and tried to suspend. When woken up, I was able to see my desktop, but froze after a couple seconds. I was unable to open a terminal, click on anything, or get a right click context menu. I guess that's progress. Correction: I have a 470 video card, not 460. If that makes a difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069293 Title: Xorg freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/1069293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
