@JPi I have set up the PPA on my Ubuntu desktop and I can't see a new version of the libreoffice-gtk package, which I think that should contain the improvements. As @David said, amd64 version of LO apparently failed to build, so I think that nothing has changed with regard to the menubar integration.
@Peter It's a known error and it's in the appindicator side. The Ubuntu Desktop guys are working on it :).
