Hi yannick, sorry for keeping you in the dark. What I meant is the following
1. please blacklist the usb_storage module 2. as root (or use sudo): "rmmod usb-storage" 3. Plug in an USB stick On 11.10 the USB stick would not be detected and on 12.04 the module is loaded nevertheless and the stick recognised. Can you confirm that?
