Public bug reported:

After the upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 media source selection is ignored
while printing. On my HP OfficeJet K550 dtn I have two trays, the
printer options set Tray 2 as the default tray. Still, while printing
from Ubuntu the printer always tries to get the paper from Tray 1.

Even in the internal printer options the default tray is set to Tray 2
so I assume Ubuntu always sends a media=Upper or similar with each print
job and thus forces the printer to feed from Tray 1.

I tried removing and readding the printer a couple of times plus all
media source settings in cups and ubuntu are set to print from the lower
tray (Tray 2).

Using windows to print the same file via Tray 2 works without problems.

The HPLIP version I am using is 3.12.6-3ubuntu4 from the official 12.10
repository.

If more information is needed please let me know which.
