I installed Ubuntu on my HP dv5t-1000 laptop using wubi. It installed
fine. I ran the software updater. Everything installed fine. It asked
me to restart, but gave me only the option to "shutdown" so I did. I
turned it on. I select to boot Ubuntu. It loads up the Ubuntu
background and thats it. Pressing the power button brings up the
shutdown,restart, suspend, cancel menu. Nothing else loads.

Title:
Wubi + Ubuntu on HP dv5t-1000, after installing and updating and doing
a restart Ubuntu only loads the background and thats it. I have done
this at least twice.
