I am using Sidux 2.6.21.5-slh-smp-2 with sid unstable  
ksynaptics                              0.3.3-2
I am experiencing the same complaint that shared memory is not accessable , I 
have checked my xorg.conf
and it is listed in it.

as indicated the option is in that file
