It's just right to complain in this bug report. Maybe by this way this bug will get the attention of Canonical. Every comment raises the heat and when the heat is high enough, maybe someone will look at this. Also if you feel spammed, just unsubscribe from this bug. As it seems, there will be no fix sooner or later, as this bug exists since 11.04, so you will not miss out important accouncements, if you unsubscribe.
So that beeing said, I only can agree, it's embarrasing that this is not fixed in an LTS release and it's not fixed properly since 11.04. As much as I like Unity.
