Hello Christopher,
I downloaded 4 deb files for amd64 processors from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.5.6-quantal/ and installed it
with $>sudo dpkg -i *.deb. I rebooted successfully 6times but on the 7th times
the bootscreen gives the following

What would you like to do?
Run in low-graphics mode for just one session
Reconfigure graphics
Troubleshoot the error
Exit the console login

There was no response from the keypad or mouse so I press the power
on/off button for 8 seconds for the hardware to do a hard reset. I am
proceeding to do another 10 reboots to see it the problem appeared
again. I will updated you shortly. I guessed the 7th reboot surferred
from graphics low memory issue. Please advice on what to do next with
these observations. Is the case closed? Can I assue the next release
of Ubuntu-12.10-desktop-amd64.iso will have this bootup issue resolved?

Regards,
TH Tan
