on a sidenote http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/brcm80211 claims that the free driver supports the BCM4330 SDIO chipset (which i think we use on the nexus7) i did some testing with it before we fell back to the android driver/firmware from the google kernel but did not manage to get it to work.
there is a good chance that i missed something while trying to get the free driver to work though. someone with more wlan expertise should probably take a second look. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075549 Title: please include fw_bcmdhd.bin and bcm4330.hcd in linux-firmware for support of the nexus7 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-nexus7/+bug/1075549/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
