glasen, are you sure about that? Last year you said:
"All chips since the i830 (e.g. 855GM, 865G, etc.) do not use the i810-driver 
in Mesa. They use the newer i915-driver and get still supported by this 
driver."

And there is no mention about droping support in the Mesa 9.0 release

So if they use the same DRI2 driver, i915, why should those chipsets be
afected by a DRI1 removal?
