Dear Benoit Thiell, I did just as you instructed and got the same error message as the many other times I clicked on the same download button. I copied J2SE v 1.4.2 Documentation from your remarks below. I pasted this into Sun.com search and got the page at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html I went down in that page until the left side said J2SE 1.4.2 Documentation underneath a black bar with the words J2SE 1.4.2 Documentation then I left clicked on the box on the right that had Download after a red arrow pointing down to a red bar. all I got was a little window with Alert centered at the top and this error: sdlc2a.sun.com has sent an incorrect or unexpected message...Error Code: -12263
I am a member of SDN but I have not received any satisfaction to my complaint to Sun about this. I hope you have more clout and want to enable me to do updates without having to type no 4 times to the fact that ubuntu cannot do updates without forcing me to type no to simple instructions that do not perform as advertised. Cordially but exasperated, Oouc --- Benoit Thiell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Bad search on Sun website. > > In the "J2SE v 1.4.2 Documentation" section of the page, click the > "Download" button.
