As Michael mentioned, you should install keys for repositories that are signed. For repositories that are not signed, where you trust both the repository and your connection to it, sources.list supports this syntax since apt 0.9 (0.8.16~exp3):
deb [trusted=yes] http://host/path sid main This is a dangerous option! It is intended mainly for local repositories. I agree with Michael that this should not be accessible through the GUI. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #596498 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=596498 ** Also affects: apt (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=596498 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Opinion ** Summary changed: - Allow to suppress unsigned reprostory errors + Allow to suppress unsigned repository errors -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/12988 Title: Allow to suppress unsigned repository errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/12988/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
