Does the gparted version work in Ubuntu? It doesn't appear to have a protective MBR as in the GPT spec but this may not be an issue.
It appears that windows believes the LBA of the drive is 2048 (0x800) bytes where as ubuntu thinks it is 512 bytes (0x200) as the GPT header is located at LBA1. I am unsure where the LBA size comes from.
