Not sure, where I read that there is no alternate disk for Lubuntu 12.10. I found the disk image and could install just fine using the alternate image. Using alternate provides a workaround. Not sure what are the differences between alternate and live-installer.
Nevertheless the reported issue is valid: This is a very common Samsung laptop with Intel Centrino platform and standard hard disk. Dual-boot with Windows - Nothing special, nothing fancy. It would be great if Ubiquity could "just work" on this type of hardware. Just drop a line if I can provide additional information. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075343 Title: ubiquity hang after preparing install screen in 12.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1075343/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
