This is going to sound harsh but if your bug isn't exactly libwfb related (or you don't know why the binary driver fails to work with your card) can you avoid posting in this particular bug and instead file a new bug (or better yet post a message on https://answers.launchpad.net/ )? It's not fair to double the size of this bug with support requests (additionally, if it is too painful to use Linux and you have an alternative you are happy with then don't use it! It pains me to read yet another post about someone struggling for hours on end and then becoming so frustrated they will never try it again. Don't do this to yourselves folks, life is too short).
(PS: The newer the graphics card the less likely it is to work out of the box with Linux. The exception to the rule are Intel graphics cads because they release drivers to support their cards BEFORE the hardware hits the shelves - http://marc.info/?l=linux- kernel&m=117876282007989&w=2 ) -- [nvidia-glx-new] NVidia driver missing libwfb https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/98641 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
