Additionally, the new network configuration applet in Feisty allows you to specify both a domain name and a search list. The result will be unexpected and people will end up scratching their head about why their search list is ignored. But I guess that's a new bug.
I actually did read the man page, but not completely. I read the paragraphs for domain and search, so I didn't see that they are mutually exclusive. As part of this bug, maybe the manpage could be improved and the comment about search and domain being mutually exclusive could be added to the two respective paragraphs.
