Hey there I think I know the problem this worked for me I hope it works for you. Open terminal and paste this code sudo iwconfig wlan0 txpower 8B26 because by default the txpower is excessive for the ath driver which causes it to actually perform worse I'm not even kidding! Hope it works, let me know the results
