A few months got a nice e-mail from Timo Aaltonen with a link to his ftp site with an experimental driver which works:
http://users.tkk.fi/~tjaalton/xorg72/new/ For a detailed discussion of the issues related to Intel and 1680x1050 see the Mandriva site: http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Releases/Mandriva/2007.1/Experimental_Intel_driver Installed this in Mandriva, it works excellent. Probably this solution of Mandriva wil also work for external monitors. Definite/final solution for these issues seems to be the upcoming x-org 7.3 Regards, Wim Michael Greifeneder wrote: > I have the same problem as described by Directrix1.
