I think I've found some sort of a solution to the problem: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=269183 Installing the xscreensaver solved the issue for me. I haven't restarted yet, but I think it'll keep working after that. I'm using GNOME 3.6, by the way.
