After one week of intense testing, I see no more "17-duplicates" happening, which make Kmail usable one again, nice work there !
I did see once Kmail duplicate 2 mails with 1 clone each. The cloned mails shows no content, only headers, and unfortunately I realized that after deleting the good mails. I use IMAP + Maildir.
