Raymond: I do not understand your comment, are you suggesting a solution? Also, how come this bug is half a year old and it has not even been assigned to any of the ubuntu developers yet? This is pretty major seeing how many people using Intel HDA nowadays, and I'm pretty sure it affects EVERYONE with HDA but many people just don't notice it.
