Public bug reported:

I tried the new compiz-cms plugin for color management by Gabriel Ebner
on ubuntu 12.10, both regular ubuntu and 'kubuntu' version. I installed
both systems in virtualbox starting from the live cd iso. (I still have
12.04 on my laptop). Then installed the plugin from ppa:gebner/compiz-
cms. On regular ubuntu 12.10 it seems to work fine.

On kubuntu 12.10 I first installed compiz, the plugin and ccsm. I did
compiz --replace from within kde. Compiz starts fine (though the
decorations are turned of in ccsm per default, not handy). But when I
activate the compiz-csm plugin, the screen turns black. I do still see a
cursor, changing into a | when it sits on a terminial so I could change
back to kwin by blindly typing kwin --replace. I also see a black screen
when the plugin is checked on and I restart the display manager....

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
