Public bug reported:

I can switch to specific virtual desktops via ctrl f1 and ctrl f2.
However I just want to switch left/right (to emulate the OSX style full
screen tiles). I configured keyboard shortcuts meta + left and meta +
right via the system settings; however they don't do anything. I also
tried ctrl + alt + left / ctrl + alt + right, again with no effect.
