@ madbiologist - Sorry, running quantal of the xbuntu/mythbuntu varieties. I went ahead and filed a new bug as suggested, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1089768 although it's the same basic issue, a Marvell sata chipset bug (emitting DMA operations with the wrong PCI device endpoint, which the IOMMU rejects.) Tonight I've confirmed that no one has added a relevant PCI quirk as of 3.7.0rc8 for my devices.
