tried some pings with name resolution: It takes a long time to resolve the name but it works seems that strict-order is the way to go in installations where an internal DNS is supported by external backups / extensions Can that be automated during setup? It should be pretty obvious that if there is a DNS server on the same LAN segment that it is preferable to any DNS on a different LAN. This would actually mirror the behaviour of DNS according to the RFCs Just a thought.
