Well how am I supposed to do that if I can not boot? The shell launched has 
only basic programs like "cat",  "ls", etc.
Grub2 loads the kernel and its initramfs correctly, but then when control is 
given to kernel, it is unable to use the device where it should find the root 
filesystem.

If you want to reproduce the error, use a Sony Vaio SVT1312V1ES,
meanwhile I will try to get more details about this problem and the PC
USB ports.
