The mouse does not freezes, for now. I must say that I have been out of the house and used the touchpad for 3 days before the BIOS update and it did not freeze either. I do system updates every time they show up, so some of it might solved the problem already... if it is really solved.
I use the computer most of the time with external keyboard and mouse, which work grate without problem... The mouse is connected through the keyboard.
