Done the bisect procedure for the packages found in http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.6.11-raring/
The change occurred in the transition from 3.6.11 raring to 3.7 raring. 3.7 raring works without any problems on my 12.10 install.
