Upgraded to BIOS (R4070Y0) on Sony Vaio VGN-FW57GH.

It is not yet conclusive, but it seems that this did not resovle the
problem. With 3.7.1 a suspend/resume cycle still resulted in instablity
and no useful logs beyond the point of suspend.

Unfortunately, and I'm not sure if is related to the BIOS change, but I
am now also having problems with window focus switching and clicking of
window manage controls (e.g. close) etc. Additionally Alt-Tab work
intermittently, but generally does not bring up the task switcher.

I am now trying to install 12.10 to see if I this resolves the windowing
issue, and then I will return to confirming if the BIOS upgrade helps.

As a question:
The BIOS now presents the VT option which can be enabled. Should this be
enabled if no VMMs are likely to use it? Or, for the
purposes of this testing should this be left disabled in the BIOS?
