I tried kernel v3.8-rc1-raring (even though I'm running quantal). It did boot to the login screen but * the screen resolution was wrong (lower than usual) * after logging in, there were a lot of visual artifacts (each time the launcher appeared for example it left behind a brown rectangle) * my wifi didn't work one I logged in (probably just an issue with trying a mainline kernel?)
I'm not sure whether to call that fixed or not! ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1094567 Title: Blank (but responsive) screen with mouse pointer after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1094567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
