unfortunately, this bug was marked as WONTFIX upstream: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108147 over 10 years ago. This might be the correct choice at that time, since nobody used decimal prefixes (except hard disk manufacturers) at that time. I think this decision should be reconsidered though as more and more applications and operating systems are switching to SI units nowadays
