After installation of Ubuntu 12.04 (from scratch; no upgrade) I configured Mobile Broadband.
Result: Wired and Wireless networks are listed, but no Mobile Broadband. sakis3g works without problems. I have repeated some of my previous steps to investigate this problem. It seems somthing reconfigured the system - maybe set vendor id ? Now the modem is recognized and entries in section Mobile Broadband is listed. The change is persistent = survis reboot => Now the modem is detected and I can use nm to connect => problem solved -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799351 Title: NM does not connect mobile broadband; sakis3g and wvdial can connect -- Huawei E156G To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/799351/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
