Good Evening and Happy New Year,

Attempted a reboot again after software install. This time no kernel
update, so no "nomodeset" at any time.

First, direct "Restart" attempt I got stuck at a purple screen. I
had to powercycle.

Second attempt, a power on instantly after the power down, I got
status messages but then I got stuck. I'm unsure of which status
message I got stuck at as I'm confident that I'm simply seeing the "top"
of the console buffer. I had to power cycle.

Third attempt, a power up after waiting around 30 seconds. Successfully
booted, I did notice a status message along the lines of
"Initializing back up display device [failed]" or something similar.

Is there any new information on this issue? Is there any way I can
help you debug this issue? Thank you.

Constantin
