I installed kernel 3.7.1 on Samsung N220. (12.10 32bit) The bug seems fixed, although I could not verify all conditions; lid open/close, attach/detach AC, keyboard suspend... I'd like to add tag: kernel-fixed-upstream , but I cannot figure out how to do this.
