Synaptic and Software-center crashing could be related, as they both use the same package indexes and same library, however I see no relation to Gnome Terminal. In most cases, separate application crashes should be reported in separate bugs, as tracking more application problems in the same bug is quite hard. Could you please run the following commands to report a separate bug for these applications: ubuntu-bug gnome-terminal ubuntu-bug software-center ubuntu-bug synaptic This will help us as by reporting the bugs separately for the apps with ubuntu-bug relevant information for the given application will be attached, like version number, maybe last error logs, and if not, package maintainers will request the relevant information from you, the reporter to help them fix the issue in their package.
