Unfortunately I had no success with free NX using Reinhards suggestions. I tried to add "-extension XFIXES" to nxloadconfig like this: AGENT_EXTRA_OPTIONS_X="-extension XFIXES -nolisten tcp -dpi 96"
(Ubuntu 2d works though... i.e. only KDE crashes.)
