I can connect with networkmanager with ipw3945 on my private WPA-PSK
secured network with the following steps reliably:

- try to connect, NM will try a bit but ask me then for a key
- press cancel on that dialogue
- retry connecting
- (quickly) turn off the hardware rf-kill switch
- after about one sec, turn on rf-kill switch
- NM connects to network successfully.

I haven't really figured out why I have to do these steps, but without
them, I cannot connect to my home lan either.
