Public bug reported: It appears that hardware-monitor leaks a lot of memory (significant amounts in short time) when a monitored network interface goes down.
Steps to reproduce: 1. add hardware-monitor to your panel 2. add ethernet interface monitoring 3. run 'ifconfig eth0 down' (assuming eth0 is your network interface) hardware-monitor should now eat up most of your memory and die a horrible death. ** Affects: hardware-monitor (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- [Edgy] hardware-monitor leaks memory when monitored network goes down https://launchpad.net/bugs/58740 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
