I've managed to fix my VirtualBox by uninstalling it, downloading the latest installer from VirtualBox website and installing it. I suspect this issue occurs because of the update notifications. I haven't installed the latest version when VirtualBox notified me, then a more recent version was published. For some reason VirtualBox kept alerting me about the previous new version, which I after some time installed. That's when my issue occurred. Luckily, reinstalling VirtualBox from the newest source fixed everything.
