Sorry Chris for the delay in responding. No I had recently re-installed Ubuntu and I had not carried over any system configuration at all. The machine was pristine. I copied all my home account data back. A week or so later I was working merrily along in OpenOffice and I hit the print button., after which time Gnome locked-up on me.
After I restarted the system I went back and checked some of the configuration information for OpenOffice and discovered that I had hit the print button effectively telling OO to print when there were no printers defined. Once I defined the default printer I never experienced another hang. -- OpenOffice ( Writer ) locks up Gnome with No Printer Defined https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/114964 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
